‘Ladybug and Cat Noir’ is a French television show that has been adapted into English, the show is on Netflix.
Ladybug is a superhero based in Paris, her alter-ego is Marrinette Dupain-Cheng. Cat Noir (Black Cat) is her friend when they are superheroes, and his alter-ego, Adrian Agreste, Marinette has a huge crush on.
The love square, of sorts, is very confusing, both Adrian and his alter-ego, Cat Noir, are in love with Ladybug. Marinette and her alter-ego, Ladybug, are in love with Adrian. Neither of them know the others secret identity.
The characters are surprisingly fleshed out and each one has a very individual and unique personality, though there are a few cut-and-paste characters.
Chloe Bourgeois is the mean girl type character who is ‘in love’ with Adrian. I don’t particularly like her as both her and her voice are annoying.
Alya Césaire is one of my favorites, she is Marinettes best-friend, and runs the Ladyblog, a blog about Ladybug. Alya does not know Marinette’s identity as Ladybug, and Alya’s blog is dedicated to finding out who Ladybug is (hint: Marinette).
The ‘Bad guy’ is Hawkmoth a supervillian who sends out poisoned butterflies, called Akumas, that turn upset people into minions who are commanded to take the two superheroes’ ‘Miraculous”. As Miraculous’ are hard to explain, I’ll let you watch the show to find out.
The show is great and I would reccomend watching it when you can.
