Fans of the Percy Jackson book series were excited when this movie came out, I know I was. But if you have never read the five book series with a mythological twist, by author Rick Riordan, here is a summary of the MOVIE.

Teenaged high-school student, Perceus (Percy) Jackson, gets attacked by his math teacher, Mrs. Dodds, who turns into a flying creature. When Percy, and his best-friend Grover, return to Percy’s apartment, his mother immediately drives them to Camp Half-Blood, a summer camp for children of the Greek Gods. Percy, and two friends, must travel to the Underworld to stop a war and save his mother.

Now, as a fan of the books, I could not like this movie as there were many, if not thousands, of deviations from the original book plot-line, and the characters were incorrect and were not portrayed well.

But if I had gone into this movie without having read the books I probly would have liked it. The actors do a good job at acting, but not for the characters they were casted as.

The plot was very interesting but could have used some work.

Really what I am saying is that, if you want to watch this movie because you liked the books, I would advise not to. But if you want to watch this movie because you think it looks good, go ahead!
