Young Justice is an amazing show for fans of DC comics. This series has caused me to cry in frustration and jump for joy, so if you don’t like to feel feelings this might not be for you.
Young Justice is about the young partners of superheroes such as Batman and the Flash. These partners join together to fight villains and grow out of their mentors shadows.
My least favorite thing about this series is the second season (I have not seen the third season yet but I hear it is very good). The characters grow older by almost 4 years and newer characters join the team, the latter is fine with me but the four years gap is difficult for me to wrap my head around.
So back to season 1, my favorite. I love the chemistry between, bestfriends, Robin and Kid Flash or Dick Grayson and Wally West. The two friends don’t keep secrets from each other, even about their civilian identities. They are just so in sync with each other it makes you feel all fuzzy inside.
This series is good for pre-teens and superhero fans. The downside, you have to know a fair amount about the DC universe to understand some of the points, so do some homework before hand!
The only thing I will say is to, like any show, ask your parents to check it out before hand. There are some iffy topics in this show, such as human trafficking, brainwashing and character death, so if you know you can’t handle these things please don’t watch this show. Otherwise have fun!!!
